We started PauseAI as a group of volunteers, who work on it in their free time. Since February 2024, PauseAI is a registered non-profit foundation .

How we use your donations

Community projects: our microgrants program supports various small-scale projects.
Volunteer stipends: volunteers can apply for a stipend , which helps our community have a local impact and grow organically.
Funding for local & national chapters: we help PauseAI communities
People: build a stronger community, work on projects, organize protests, improve the website, etc.
Events: renting a location, catering, travel costs.
Software: email, website, etc.
Campaigns: online advertising, materials
Legal & financial: setting up the foundation (notary costs), bookkeeping.
